JACKSON, Miss. -- An organization hounded by allegations of sexual abuse by its host fathers has actually lost its government designation to bring forex students to the United States. State Department spokeswoman Susan Pittman told The Associated Press on Friday that Pacific Intercultural Exchange, or PIE, was removed today from the department 's listing of official sponsors. The San Diego-based company was part of a network of organizations that brings near to 30,000 high school students to the U.S. each year. PIE was suspended from the program in July. A phone call to the business was not right away returned. The State Department also chose to reject PIE's re-designation, which shows up every 2 years. Pittman says the business dealt with a Wednesday deadline to appeal the decision, but chose not to test it.
