A watchdog team charged with monitoring the war in Afghanistan is raising doubts regarding whether the Afghan government will be prepared for the prepared withdrawal of U.S. forces in 2014. A report released Wednesday by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction states Afghanistan is too greatly dependent on foreign assistance and it will have a challenging time sustaining the armed force 's operations and upkeep costs once the U.S. is gone. "The Afghan government will likely be incapable of fully sustaining ANSF (Afghan National Security Forces) facilities after the transition in 2014 and the expected decrease in U.S. and coalition support," the report checks out. The report states significant problem areas for the Afghan military consist of budgeting, buying, and logistics systems-- which the watchdog team states are undeveloped.

Key:

  • Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
  • The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
  • The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).

Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
